Release the GOG Galaxy client for linux
Still waiting for any move on Gog's side for this. Come on, just some APi parts for better implementation over existing launchers on Linux.

This would be sweet
or use github.com/Sude-/lgogdownloader under Linux. But yes, cloud save-games etc. are nice features and I would love to see GOG Launcher for Linux
...... ? hello... pls

please make this a reality .
Pls release gog galaxy for Linux or a Complete Support for heroic client
Either do this or let games work online without galaxy client .

ya there is only a full like million or so of us, that use linux exclusively. Seriously, I haven't bought a game in years because of this. Stop playing with my feelings about a store that honors DRM free stuff and just release the Client for Linux already. Ever hear of Steam Deck? I wonder if their users (like me) could run their GOG games no problem with the native Galaxy client for Linux installed. Sigh. Wake up GOG. I haven't purchased a game in years and won't until something changes. I'd much rather purchase games here. My steam library is huge, and growing all the time.

We'd love to get a Linux GOG <3

Steam: Linux games, Linux support, Linux OS, plays windows games on Linux.
GOG: Sells games that run on Linux... (that's it)
I would love to keep buying DRM-free games, but when there's built-in compatibility for playing non-Linux games on Linux with Steam; why would I? Seriously?
I love a company that cares about DRM free games. Also would love a launcher to accomodate it!

Working like Ubi or Rockstar under Wine would be enough to me.
Holy Batman, this is 2023 calling, why does GOG not have a Liux client!? Won't buy here until this is fixed. Go and look how Steam does it, and just copy that.

+1 Up
another +1 for this. why is this taking so long?
When Tux?
You sell games that work on Linux, so why not make purchasing and managing games on Linux easier?

I'm also a linux user who would like to purchase my games from GOG instead of the other stores.
GOG Galaxy should definitely be available for Linux. It seems like it totally fits their values and mission, so why not?
With the Steam Deck selling over 1 million units surely this is a no brainer now

BGII is on sale on Steam right now... but why should I buy it there to play it on Linux if I already have purchased it (and 40 other games) on GoG?
I switched completely to Linux (Manjaro, based on Archlinux but more stable) after reading about Microsoft's horrible new EULA, that has 1984 (George Orwell) vibes. This was the last straw I needed to completely switch to Linux. So I join this wish for a GOG Galaxy client for Linux :) Valve (Steam) maybe could give some help/assistance about proton and stuff, to make all Games running on Linux :) So it would be awesome if you on GoG joined the Linux side aswell.
I abandoned windooze for years, i'd be happy to have GOG Galaxy with native Linux support :-)

This is something that I implore the GOG team to investigate. I'm currently able to access my games through the Heroic Games launcher (https://flathub.org/apps/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl) though it is not my ideal solution. I would rather have a full GOG client available as a Flatpak available through Flathub for all Linux distributions so I can download my games, update them, and download backups/goodies all natively on my system rather than rely on the workaround to keep them working. It's proven to work and should be something that needs to be implemented.
Not only can games from GOG work, they sometimes work even better on Linux! If GOG were to release a client for Linux, they could also meet Valve on the Steam Deck as a viable storefront. There are more benefits than drawbacks for supporting Linux at this point than there were ever before.
GOG, please consider it.
Smeagol Promised!
After switching completely to Linux and playing all my Steam Games without any problem I regret Cyberpunk via GoG. Never again. Hope for a steam sale
I unfortunately won't be purchasing from GoG in the future, I bought Cyberpunk on their word that Linux Support was coming and now they won't even respond to these requests.
We need to do something to push for a response here
We need a Linux client

Hello, I very very very much would love to have the native Linux launcher of GOG on my Steam Deck. I spent years building up my collection in your shop and love your approach to the games world. I would ALWAYS give priority to your shop but I noticed that Heroic Launcher just makes things too fragile and neither I have proper Cloud Saves etc.. I guess you know the problems.. It would be amazing to just have access to my whole GOG library on the Deck.. Thanks for hearing us out ..
